Unavoidable Black Borders

What a dumb problem.

1) I can’t seem to make padding around my image. As such, all the text is crammed right up against the image, making it look bad.

2) There is a permanent THICK BLACK BORDER around my image, but nowhere in the html does the word “border” exist. What the hell?
