Hi @photokitchen,
I just ran a test and the “unblock” button on Live Traffic successfully changes the button to “block” again after performing an unblocking. The same IP also appears on the Wordfence > Blocking page if you click “block” (or haven’t unblocked an IP yet) where they can also be unblocked by ticking the box to the left of the table entry and selecting the “unblock” button – where you receive a prompt first to ask if you’re sure.
Blocks are sometimes controlled by your Rate Limiting and Brute Force settings. If the time limits under these sections have expired, only the “block” button will show in Live Traffic because they are no longer blocked when you check. However some blocks are not subject to these timeout periods, but will be caught again by our list of known bad IPs if they revisit the site.
It’s generally time consuming and not necessary to implement a manual blocking regime, but you can by all means increase block times in the options mentioned above to see if this suits your requirements better.
Thanks,
Peter.
