    Hi there,
We received a message that Adobe is ending Flash support, and that if you built online courses using Storyline 1 or 2 it won’t be supported. It was recommended to upgrade to Storyline 3 or Articulate 360.
The client built with Storyline 2, will need to upgrade to version 3. Since I did not build these course myself (I inherited it), I’m a bit confused on the setup. I see the storyline lists in the “manage content” section of Tin Canny Reporting for LearnDash, and I see the option to replace the content under actions. I’m assuming this means that I just swap out the outdated storyline content for the new? And does the new storyline content need to live on the server (with the supportive documents for the courses) as I’m not seeing anything related to the original storyline content on the server?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @brivell567, thanks for the inquiry.

Please note that this support forum is for our free Toolkit plugin; for help with our other products (including Tin Canny) you can submit requests on our website or via [email protected].

You are on the right track though with the Manage Content option and replacing uploaded modules. If you use it, you’ll be prompted to upload a new file. This uploaded file is extracted to your WordPress uploads folder, and you should see a folder inside there for your other uploaded Storyline files if you check by FTP.

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks for the quick response!

That’s the thing… I’m NOT seeing “storyline” files on the server-side… I’m seeing folders for course content that consist of pdfs, course files that consist of pdfs and word docs, and quiz files in .xlsx excel format.

I am seeing a folder for “story_content” in the uncanny-swc folder that has mp3’s and .swf files. Is this the “storyline” content?

I’m assuming that the uploaded file (that you mentioned above) that is extracted to the WP uploads folder is this content??

I’m sorry if this all seems remedial… I didn’t build the LMS site for the client and I want to be crystal clear on everything as I don’t want to mess this up!

That’s correct, uploaded modules go in the /uncanny-snc/ folder by number, each numbered folder includes one uploaded module. You CANNOT just replace files by FTP, you would have to use our replacement too.

If you’re not seeing anything listed in the Manage Content page, please do log a ticket, it’s the best way we can provide support for our premium plugins.

    OK… but to be clear

Given the situation I described above… I would just have to hit “replace” button in manage content section and this will automatically replace the existing files with the new ones on the server-side? The files will be coming from the client using Storyline 3 (I’m guessing)… I’m assuming it will be zip files that I am uploading using the replace button?

Correct. Make sure you use the Replace tool with the original zip files as exported by Storyline 3. It will then remove the existing module and upload the new one with the same ID, so you don’t need to change shortcodes that are set up in your courses.
