Uncategorised says it has 1 product

Hi there!

When you navigate to Products > All Products in your WP-Admin dashboard, can you filter by category and select uncategorized? Does anything show up there? If so, you can manually edit the product and remove that category.

If nothing comes up from the product search in the back end, I would recommend going to Products > Categories and looking for the Uncategorized category there. By default, this cannot be deleted. So, as a workaround, you can just rename it to a category you are actually using and assign it to a product to get rid of it.

Tried your steps, but unfortunately it wasn’t solving the issue.
When I try to open the category in the product list I see the category with an (1) behind it. But after loading the selection it says ‘no products found’.

After renaming the category, the same problem still exists.

Can you please navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Tools and regenerate product lookup tables on that page:

Then once you’ve completed that step, click on the line below it to Recount Terms under Term Count.

Please forgive me if this is an obvious question, but you don’t have any products in your trash or drafts, do you?

I’m also wondering if any of your products that are assigned to other categories also have “uncategorized” checked. That wouldn’t explain why they don’t show up when you look at that category, but it might be worth exploring.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. If you have any other questions please feel free to start a new thread.
