Uncaught exception 'Mage_Core_Model_Store_Exception'

After successfully installing and configuring the plugin, I try to view the blog home page and I’m treated to this lovely screen:

After reviewing the line in App.php it’s apparently not finding or pulling a blank store code, but I’m not exactly sure how to remedy the situation. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
