Hello. After last update, I got this error and the banner isn’t showing up:

Uncaught ReferenceError: cmplz_deny_all is not defined
    at cmplz_check_cookie_policy_id (complianz.min.js?ver=1709148419:1:28259)
    at window.conditionally_show_banner (complianz.min.js?ver=1709148419:1:19631)
    at complianz.min.js?ver=1709148419:1:25002

You can see the error at the link provided, which points at the Cookie Policy itself, generated with Complianz. In the text, where the table with the consents is supposed to show up, there is a message saying something like:

“You’ve loaded the policy without JavaScript support”

How can I fix this? Thank you.

P.S. By the way…what happened to the cookies list and description table styles? It’s a messy grid now! ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @mrprainx,

While I do see the banner appearing correctly at the moment, could you try the below version of the plugin from GitHub? This contains an adjustment to prevent this issue from occurring.

    https://github.com/Really-Simple-Plugins/complianz-gdpr/tree/cmplz_deny_all

Let me know if this does the trick for you.
    Kind regards, Jarno

OK I’ll try. Should I install it, and keep it activated, alongside the standard one?

    Hi @mrprainx,

No, you will probably want to download the GitHub branch, unzip it locally and rename the folder to complianz-gdpr and add it back to a zip archive. And then upload that to WordPress, so you override the “old” plugin.

    Kind regards, Jarno

@mrprainx Did this work for you? I’m still not seeing the banner or my forms using this version of the plugin.

    Hello @delanthear.
I’m sorry but I still didn’t had the chance to try that solution.

In my case though, the banner suddenly reappeared and that error vanished.

@mrprainx as the branch provided above resolves the issue in our tests, and will be released on Monday or Tuesday in production, I’ll close this thread for now. Please feel free to open a new thread if you have any questions.

Ok. So we can uninstall the branch e switch back to the “core” plugin after the update?
