I cannot get this plugin to work. The error console keeps showing Uncaught TypeError: r.getClientRects is not a function every time the popup fires. Any help here would be great.

Hello @duncmorley – Apologies for the delayed response.

I believe that we already replied to your HelpScout ticket regarding this. Could you please check at it and let us know if that helps you?

    Thanks.

@duncmorley – We have tracked multiple reports of similar issues, but all have been found to result from other plugins and themes not being 100% compatible with the changes made in WP 5.5. These conflicts have resulted in JS errors that break things randomly.

Might be worth trying to use the Health Check plugin’s troubleshooting mode to see if you can narrow it to a specific plugin or theme.

Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin or support.

If you still need help please message us directly at https://wppopupmaker.com/support/.

I had the same issue and solved it by adding this line to the page header:
    <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-3.0.0.min.js"></script>

Hi I am also experiencing this error.
I do not have errors from any other plugins, and my jquery is loading correctly on the site. I do not have any errors on the health check screen. Adding this line to the header did not help.

I have submitted a ticket too.

Hi there. Same here with jquery 3.5.1 it doesn’t work. Using jquery-migrate 3.3.2 temporary fixed the issue. Looking forward for the plugin update. Thanks.

Update here. The issue in my case was caused by another out-of-date script. Popup Maker works fine!
