• Dear Supporters

I have “sometimes” the problem that when i want to open the site /wp-admin i get a error 500 message.

Till now i have just waited, and after a while problem was solved, however, it seems that this problem shows up more and more.

I have checked error log on hosting with following registrations:

    1. 17.07.2020 15:56:01 website*.de [client ****] FastCGI: comm with server “/**/**/**/fastcgi/rid/21/73/**/htdocs/**/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php” aborted: idle timeout (240 sec)
    2. <br>

    3. 17.07.2020 15:56:01 website*.de [client *] AH00***: Handler for fastcgi-script returned invalid result code 1
    4. <br>

    5. 21.07.2020 18:49:46 website* [client *] FastCGI: “/**/****/**/fastcgi/rid/21/73/**/**/**/wp-admin/update-core.php” aborted: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server after 1 sec

    Thanks for your help

  • Hi

500 Internal server error in WordPress is often caused by plugin or theme functions. Other possible causes of internal server error in WordPress that we know of are: corrupted .htaccess file and PHP memory limit.

We have also heard internal server error only showing up when you are trying to access the admin area while the rest of the site works fine.
    1) Checking for Corrupt .htaccess File
    2) Increasing the PHP Memory Limit
    3) Deactivate all Plugins
    4) Re-uploading Core Files

If all methods fail to fix internal server error on your website, then it is time to get some more help. Contact your web hosting support team and they will be able to check the server logs and locate the root cause of the error.

    Thanks

    Hi michael,

How to Reinstall WordPress Core Software Via FTP
If you can’t access your WordPress dashboard because of an error (or just prefer to work over FTP), you can perform a similar process via FTP. You’ll basically be manually duplicating what WordPress.

Here’s the process in a nutshell:

Download the latest version of WordPress
    Extract the ZIP file
Upload everything except the /wp-content/ folder
Note: Please take backup of wp-config.php before uploading

    Thanks
    Ahir
