    Hi-

I made a mess of a WP upgrade last weekend (2.0.2 to 2.0.4) and had to get my host to revert my site back to where it was 24 hours before.

I’m going to try again, and I’ve gone through the steps carefully, but I have some questions. The detailed instructions say:

    • Do not delete the wp-images folder. I have no folder like this. I do have an images folder under wp-includes and another one under wp-admin. Do they mean one of these? Otherwise, the instructions say to delete these folders.
    • Do not delete custom content or plugins. Does this mean do not delete your plugins or only plugins that you have customized?
    • Delete the file wp.php. I can’t find this file.

  • You’re following these, right?

Don’t worry about the wp-images folder or wp.php–that’s left over from WordPress 1.2.

Leave alone (don’t delete) the entire wp-content folder–that will protect your plugins and themes.

Thanks filosofo! I’m ready to give it a try.

EDIT: Yes, those are the instructions I’m following.

It worked! Now I just have to figure out how to upgrade plugins. ??
