    Hello @womanwithmind,

I have fixed those issues, I am working on the v0.10.0 updated wgich has those warning messages fixed.

I will release this update soon, I am just running some tests to check how this update will affect existing installs of RecipePress

    Hi Kemory,
May I know when you will release the update?
It is affecting all my recipes posts ??

    Hello,
Is that warning showing up in the actual live site content?

I ask because it is a PHP warning message that should only show up on development servers and test sites. These messages should be hidden on a live site.

    (@womanwithmind)

Yes, it is showing in live site

You can click on to any of the recipes, all are affected ??

This is a major misconfiguration of your webserver. PHP warnings or notices are nothing to worry about in general. So this is not actually a bug in RPR, more an issue of not really nice coding.
However you should NEVER expose these information to any visitor of your site. The warnings might expose paths to executables and make it easy to exploit security vulnerabilities.

    Please fix your webserver’s settings!

    Hi,
I contacted my webserver provider, they have tried to change all versions of PHP, the errors still happened.

It will be very helpful if you can advise more details on what the PHP misconfiguration is and what needs to be changed so I can contact my webserver provider again to get it fixed.

    Hello,
Have your webhost disable the PHP display_errors setting for you. Also, have them make sure WP_DEBUG is disabled.

    Hi,
I contact my webhost, here is their reply

Those settings are related to the configuration of your application, not the server.

Such changes should be performed by your developer.

I found out the following tutorial which you may provide your developer on how to disable the debug mode of WordPress and the PHP errors:

    Hi,
I knew they would pass the blame to somewhere else.

I’ll have the new update out this Friday.

    Hi Kemory,
?? So my issue will be solved this Friday?

    (@w33zy)

    Hello,
It ought to be solved. However, you site still has a serious server mis-configuration that your webhost needs to fix.

    Hello,
Can I take it that this issue has been resolved.

    Thread Starter womanwithmind

    (@womanwithmind)

    Thanks for being so helpful.

Yes, I also got someone from Fiverr at reasonable pricing to help me resolve the misconguration since my webhost is not willing to do it.

    Now everything is working

I am glad that issue has been resolved.

Also, any webhost that places the fixing of that configuration on their customer is very bad. That issue is something the average customer would know nothing about.

Anyways, please be sure to leave a review for the Recipepress plugin if you find it useful.
