Hmmm, it doesn’t look like an WordPress 4.7 issue – I’ve just upgraded my test environment to WP 4.7 and my Slide Anything test sliders are all working fine.

Its probably a clash with another plugin or your theme.
Disable all your plugins, and if this error disappears then you know that there is a plugin clash – now you have to re-enable plugins one-by-one (testing the slider after each plugin is enabled) – when the error appears you know which plugin SA is clashing with. I can them possibly look into it further.

Alternatively it could also be clashing with your theme – activate the 2016 theme to see if its an issue with the theme.

Strange. I did as you recommended and disabled all the plugins except Slide Anything. The errors still show. I also changed the theme to twentyseventeen and the errors are still there. Do you want me to try activating twentysixteen instead? have you tried SA on the new theme?

    Could you try the following:
    – Edit your slider and change the “CSS #id for Slider” (try changing it to “satest”)
    – Uncheck the “Allow Shortcodes” checkbox

Unchecking the “Allow Shortcodes” checkbox fixed the issue. The theme I am using is “Foodica” (by WPZoom). I don’t know if this helps you troubleshoot, but as long as the sliders are working without that box checked, I think I’m good. Hopefully this topic can help others with the similar issue, too.

Thank you for your assistance, Simon. Excellent support.

Hi, I’m glad you managed to sort it out.

Yes, the “Allow Shortcodes” function does clash with certain theme builders – Its an advanced feature which probably isn’t used 99% of the time, so I should probably set it to be unchecked by default and have a red ‘I'(info) button next to it. I have made a not to change this in future.

    Both great ideas.

Unchecking “Allow Shortcodes” also worked for me
