I’ve been working with nextgen gallery on localhost. This afternoon I installed it on the web server, put in a couple albums and a couple galleries and attached them to a page – same as I’d done on localhost.
When I ran it, I got:
Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$filename in /home3/dperezp1/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_gallery_display/package.module.nextgen_gallery_display.php on line 1154

I found a couple discussions and cleared the image cache. Then I uninstalled and RE-installed nextgen. THEN, just for good measure, I cleared the cache in Firefox. Still getting it………

It APPEARS to show up for every child album. Other than clearing and re-installing, what should I do?

I blew away every gallery and every album.

I recreated a top level album “Nature”. I created a child album “Birds”. I created a gallery “Shore Birds” and put 4 images in it. Ran it. Worked OK. I created a gallery “Raptors” and put 5 images in it. Dragged it to “Birds”. I now have Nature album, and Birds album in that, and a pair of galleries “Shore Birds” and “Raptors” inside Birds. Ran it. Got the same error… I think I’m now stuck.

I suspect it’s probably not the brightest thing to do, but I woke up at 03:30 with the idea of seeing if I had “debug” turned on for WordPress. So, it was, and I just turned it off, and now I’m not getting the error on all my albums/galleries… At least not the ones I’ve checked so far.

Is this error a real problem or one I can safely ignore? And if it IS an actual problem, how do I fix it?

@https://www.ads-software.com/support/profile/skyykorat – It is not recommended for DEBUG to be turned on for productions sites.

Depending on how you “moved” your local installation you may be also running into “migration” issues as well.

Please try our external Reset Tool plugin here: https://bitbucket.org/photocrati/nextgen-gallery-reset/get/default.zip

To install and activate, go to Plugins > Add New … Upload Plugin
To use, go to Tools > NextGEN Gallery Reset

We do not offer specific support for the Reset Tool plugin as is but it can help in many circumstances, please let us know if it does.

    Thanks!

Cool. I’ll give it a whirl.

BTW: In the realm of “seemed like a good idea”, at approximately 04:20 this morning – so it took me about 40 minutes – I managed to screw up the config.php file, cause it to be “0” bytes on the server, and do a couple other “questionable” things resulting in me UNINSTALLING WordPress on the server and reinstalling from scratch <heavy sigh>…..

On the GOOD hand, it cleaned out whatever artifacts were left from the 30+ different galleries and other plugins and tools I’ve tried over the past 3-4 weeks… Just me doing another of my frequent stupid human tricks…

@skyykorat – Thanks for the update, let us know if the issue is persisting still with this “new” installation.
