I have a very simple setup at this point, two albums, each with a couple galleries, doing development locally. On the page I’m using NextGEN Basic Compact Album. I’ve also tried NextGEN Pro Grid Album. I get the same bunch of errors with either.

On the page I specified Albums, and my two albums to be displayed. Instead, what I’m getting is a series of these errors:

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$imagedate in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\products\photocrati_nextgen\modules\nextgen_gallery_display\package.module.nextgen_gallery_display.php on line 1154

then the GALLERIES instead of the albums. I did a search and found some old topics with similar errors, some of “imagedate” and many in the nextgen_gallery_display.php at line 1154, so whatever I’m getting has been happening for at least six months…

The only advice I’ve found so far is to clear the image cache, which I found in the Other Options/Miscellaneous, and have cleared it repeatedly. I’ve also logged out of WordPress and back in. So far, nothing has made any difference. I don’t see either album, only the galleries after a whole string of these errors. I don’t know if the errors and not having the albums displayed are connected, but how do I get rid of these errors (without turning off debugging), and get the albums to display?

I’m not sure if it’ll help, but it appears that the notices/errors only occur if I put more than one gallery in an album. If there’s only 1 gallery, no errors.

In Other Options/Image Options, I tried changing the default sort method for images, but it didn’t make any difference (I don’t know if it even alters how existing galleries are sorted).

@mainecoon1 – What can you tell me about the images in the galleries you are using? Can you describe the process(es) you are using to get those images into your NextGEN Gallery instance?

Unfortunately there can be a lot of variables involved with a local installation as well, do you see the same problems in remote installation?

Images are ordinary 1536x? jpgs. The galleries are created and images uploaded in the normal manner. I create the gallery, press “Add Files”, select one or more images from my local storage (these are all images that have been uploaded to other galleries on the live site, so they should work). Press “Start Upload” and off they go.

To make things MORE bizarre… For a while earlier today, I did NOT get the imagedate notices. BUT, while testing the problems I’m having with album covers – NO new galleries, no changes in images at all, just trying to select album cover and galleries in an existing album – I started getting dozens of notices again. This time, they’re this:

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$galdesc in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\products\photocrati_nextgen\modules\nextgen_gallery_display\package.module.nextgen_gallery_display.php on line 1154

SO, previously I got “imagedate” and now I’m getting “galdesc”…

As near as I can tell, they started displaying when I switched from the NextGEN Pro Grid album to the NextGEN Basic Compact Album. Same exact album, same exact galleries… Switched back TO the NextGEN Pro Grid Album – no notices. Switched back to the Basic Compact Album and the galdesc notices are back…

I don’t have a remote location at this point. I’m considering putting the plugins on the live website this weekend, but last time I did that (with the other plugin) I found out it would ONLY work in one place at a time. It was horrendously unproductive to have to activate and inactivate the plugins on either the local or remote machines every time I switched, so I need to be sure your plugins won’t have that same unfortunate limitation since development is local because making changes on the server site is equally unproductively slow…

@mainecoon1 – Please contact our support team directly with any questions or concerns for these NextGEN Pro display related issues via your member’s area at https://imagely.com/account/

We’re not seeing this in our testing but we are also not allowed to provide support in these forums for issues having to do with NextGEN Plus or NextGEN Pro.

    Thanks!
