Undefined variable and Non-object errors

  • I’ve had this shortcode running and recently it stopped working.

    [ic_add_posts showposts=’4′ category=’rockstar’]

    I’m getting the following errors on the page:
    Notice: Undefined variable: post in /xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx/themes/outreach-pro/posts_loop_template.php on line 9

    Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in //xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx/themes/outreach-pro/posts_loop_template.php on line 9

    The error calls out a line referring to image thumbnails. Any ideas what’s going on here?

    Howdy @7billionbuddhas – Not sure offhand but we should be able to figure this out.

    Questions:

    1. Can you post a copy of the code in your posts_loop_template.php file here?
    2. What other changes have been made to the site recently that may have coincided with this issue? WP, theme, plugin updates, server updates, etc.
    3. Was this specific plugin updated recently?
