Hi, I was using Total Cache with Memcached Object Caching and it was working great. However, eventually wp-admin slowed to a crawl.

So it seemed like there was no answer to this so I tried Redis, but something went wrong, so I switched back. After switching back, at first everything seemed slow. But after a day, not only are things on the site fast again, but wp-admin is too.

So, I am trying to understand why. Is it because I purged? If so, are you supposed to purge regularly?

If not, is there some other known reason? I googled and couldn’t finds answers on needing to purge regularly.

    Thanks!
    Craig

    Hello @craigola

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
W3 Total Cache does not cache wp-admin requests by default Can you please check if the option “Enable caching for wp-admin requests” is enabled in Performance>Object Cache?
    Thanks!
