Undo a Permalink Nightmare

  • I am very new at this so please be patient. I have a blog with 3 posts. I edited the permalink on one of the posts thinking it was just for that post, but the permalink changed for the whole site. How do I undo this?

    Right now I click on a post from the main page and it just refreshes the main page. Sometimes I can get into a post, but it just says “Ooops we cant find anything”. Please help!

    Okay, I found the permalink section and changed it back to Plain from Custom. That seemed to make the functionality work, except for one page. From the home page I click on the first page of a post and I get a 404 error. But the subsequent pages in that posts are still there and able to be navigated. Why do I get a 404 just on the first page?

    Difficult to investigate without seeing the site, can you post a link please so I can have a look ?

    Sometimes just going to the permalink section and clicking save – without changing anything – can help as it refreshes all the permalinks.
