Undoing a clone (or recovering files)

    I had been updating a couple different features for a client site in the staging version. I completed one feature last week and was working on another one, then started transitioning that newer feature to the live site. The client asked to back out the change, so to ensure I had a faithful copy, I updated the staging site with data from the live site, but I had entirely forgotten about the first feature (which only existed in the staging site).

    Is there any way to revert a change or to recover those older files somewhere?

    I am really sorry but there is no way to recover this data if you did not create a backup of it first. The update process has overwritten the data on the staging site.
