Unfiltered Description vs Description

    What is the unfiltered description option? My products are regularly being disapproved by google shopping as they are health foods and I’m trying to work out how I can provide a different description for google….? Any ideas?

  • Hi,

    The unfiltered product description contains the same information as the normal description but with HTML and short-codes in it.

    When you want to provide an alternative product description for Google than I advise you to create a new WooCommerce attribute for that and use those in your field mapping.

    But when i create a new attribute I have to prefill the attribute options…? Is there a tutorial how to do it somewhere?

    Hi,

    When you create a new attribute in Woocommerce you do not have to pre-fill the terms. You can just leave them empty and set the values on your product edit pages instead.

    Alternatively you can also use the Advance Custom Fields plugin which is a bit more advanced. You can even set textarea’s in it that show up on your product edit pages and use those.
