unfiltered_html not working on my multisite WP

    I saw there was a previous post on this subject in the search results, but could not access it – only led to a page 41, not the post.

    I have a multisite and need to give the Editor the unfiltered_html role. I could not find this option anywhere in the Members options.

    Can you please help?

    (Note that I manage a different site that uses User Role Editor plugin and that one DOES list unfiltered_html.)

    Do you mean unfiltered_html capability? I opened Editor role, clicked All tab and found Unfiltered HTML capability: https://share.cspf.co/eDugZOyY. Is this capability you want to use?

    Correct, unfiltered_html capability.
    Thank you for the reply, but that option is not listed for me.

    Again, this is a Multisite setup and this is one of the sites in the network (folder based, not sub-domains.) Not sure if that should make any difference? There is no Members menu at the Network Admin level, only on the sites. But none of them show that option.

    I had to contact our developer and here’s what he said:
    The unfiltered_html capability is removed in multisite environments. This is a security feature. Also in multisite, only Super Admins can create, edit, and delete roles by default. This has to be done manually at the site level. It’s a security measure to make sure that you absolutely trust sub-site admins to make these types of changes to roles. If you’re certain you want to allow this, add the Create Roles (create_roles), Edit Roles (edit_roles), and/or Delete Roles (delete_roles) capabilities to the role on each sub-site where you want to allow this.
