• Strike 1: How do I restore my site from a backup? Quote: “You need to download the latest backup file either by clicking download on the backups page or via…”. Wrong: “Download” option does not exist, only the ‘Delete’ option exists. Yes, you can restore your database using phpmyadmin, but you don’t need this plugin to do that.

Strike 2: Extremely slow response on my WordPress Dashboard.

With hundreds of backup plugins available, two strikes and your deleted.

  • Seems like you are the only one with this problem, take another look at the page & under the Actions column you should see the Delete | Download options (once a backup has been completed that is)?

Thanks for your help. At least you addressed half of the problem. The extremely slow response was the killer. I installed UpdraftPlus Backup/Restore instead. It only took a couple of minutes to install and has been making backups for the past several weeks. Its fast, reliable and easy to setup and use.
