    Hi Barry,

I installed this plugin to get the functionality of being able to put in co-ordinates for the google maps.

When I activated the plugin I got a white screen and after several refreshes finally the screen I was on. I did the usual problem solving and found that after I deactivated the W3 Total Cache plugin and things worked, as in the screens loaded normally.

I ended up removing the Event Rocket plugin and decided to go without but thought I should let you know I had problems. I am running Genesis with a child theme.

Otherwise I would love to see the co-ordinates for the google maps embedded into The Event Calendar rather than a plugin. The other features in the plugin I don’t really need.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, it seemed like a nice featured plugin.

    Cheers

    James

    Hi James,

I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work for you and I’ve made a note so I can do my best to check this out before the next release (so thanks for taking the time to report it, even if you are no longer able to use it personally) ??

Otherwise I would love to see the co-ordinates for the google maps embedded into The Event Calendar rather than a plugin.

That may be on the cards – but the best thing to do is add your voice over on The Events Calendar’s UserVoice page to help ensure it is prioritized.

    Thanks again!

Mostly for the benefit of anyone else coming across this topic (I appreciate you are no longer using Rocket, James!) this isn’t an issue I can replicate so I think something else may have been at play or else a specific configuration is needed to replicate.

Should anyone else hit up against the same thing, please do drop a report in a new forum topic (or directly on the issue tracker) with as much detail about your W3TC configuration as possible: if you have the time and can replicate on a clean test install and provide a summary of settings, your environment (PHP ver etc) and a list of steps to replicate then bonus points will be awarded ??

    Thanks!

Barry, I think I am slowly moving in on the problem.

I seem to have some major issues with HTTPS and WooCommerce looping back and forwards and from what I can tell is that the W3TC is just adding to the problem. I’m still reading up on how to fix the HTTPS issues then I’ll give it another go at installing Rocket.

Not being a developer or coder, I am hitting a few brick walls when asking others for help with this HTTPS issue with Woocommerce but it seems a few people are having similar issues. Anyhow I’ll get off my soapbox.

I’m happy to give you temporary Admin access to my site, Barry!

Thanks for the offer James, but at this point it doesn’t look to me like a general bug/general compatibility issue.

Certainly if you can identify a straight-up problem where Event Rocket fails to mesh with W3TC in an otherwise clean environment and can identify steps to consistently replicate it I can take another look, but right now I can’t help but suspect the issues lie in your local environment/setup.

    Barry, just a quick followup!

After find the error I was working on in another plugin, I tried to reinstall Event Rocket and it works perfectly now! ??

Seems I had some issues with https and woo commerce, which was giving me lots of grief. But all is good now.

    Nice plugin by the way!!!!

Thanks James – and I’m glad it worked out ??
