Accidentally, I rename my wp-content folder to pc2tech from Cpanel and website is broken. When I load my website on any browser, its shows:
    This site can’t be reached

https://www.pc2tech.com took too long to respond.
    ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

I rename it back to original form more than a week ago but error not fixing. I don’t know where is problem stand.

rename .htaccess to htaccess.bak and use the basic WP .htaccess file:

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/htaccess#Basic_WP

    What files are in public_html?

    You should have these

    .htaccess
    index.php
    license.txt
    readme.html
    wp-activate.php
    wp-admin (directory)
    wp-blog-header.php
    wp-comments-post.php
    wp-config.php
    wp-config-sample.php
    wp-content (directory)
    wp-cron.php
    wp-includes (directory)
    wp-links-opml.php
    wp-load.php
    wp-login.php
    wp-mail.php
    wp-settings.php
    wp-signup.php
    wp-trackback.php
    xmlrpc.php

My suggestion is that you start with fresh installation.Follow simple steps :

    1. Download wp-config.php file
    2. Now for safety backup the database and don’t delete it.
    3. Download the Wp-content folder
    4. Download WordPress from – https://www.ads-software.com/download/
    5. Upload it and unzip the folder
    6. Delete “Wp-content” and “Wp-config.php” and replace the old file that you downloaded

Note: It will work fine. You don’t need to link database as it is already linked.

I have all files and I change a name of a .htaccess file to htaccess.bak file. I also use the basic WP .htaccess file. I think I should wait for some time and then I try again. I hope It will work. Thank you for your time and concentration.

Waiting will not change anything. It will work or it won’t.

Do you have a backup from before you made this change? If so, it might just be best to roll things back.

Yes, I made a backup of my database only before I made changes. Now, what should I do?
