• The idea is great but plugin does not work at all. Rewrite rules are added to the .htaccess file and special script appeared in /uploads/atec-webp. But nothing more. No files were converted.

Also, I can’t delete this plugin, because WordPress shows critical error. Only backup from server helped me.

    So, be careful, installing it!

UPDATE: The problem with deactivation is fixed in the latest release. So you can fearlessly install this plugin

I have just tested it on two servers with cf and atec-webp plugin works fine.

However, atec-webp does not change the source code of your site, so if you have for example jpeg images on your site, cloudflare will cache the respective URL and will request the jpeg image to save in the cache.
cloudflare will not sent an accept image/webp header, like a broweser does, so the rewrite rules will not send a webp image as a replacement.
now if a user visits your site, jpeg image will be sent – not webp.

So, atec-webp works as designed, but cf will not request webp and therefore not deliver the webp files.

I think the issue is cleared now.
Would you kindly adjust the title/grading of the review?

Thank you Andrej, could you change the title to something like:

Plugin requires apache rewrite rules – no CDN like cloudflare.

That would clarify it even more?

    Thank you!
