The demo site appears to be up and running without problem, however you do need to register here to be able to use it.

You can find the demo site here.

    thanks for answering –

    but sorry : plz tell me that this registration forum is a joke…. ;
Malcom: this seems to be non_appropiate… ; you are asking for

    city
zip code and all that stuff – and if you do a validation on that – every non us-user is keept out.

Do me a favour – just skip that stuff of registration things and make it a bit easier…

It is terribly confusing and very very unapropiate…

    is this to harsh!?

i am really interested in testing your demo…. Sure thinG

    Yes, it is too harsh.

The registration is the default WordPress user registration. I’ve not added or changed anything. I really don’t care what is entered, and I don’t verify it (again just the default WordPress behaviour). I just need each demo user to have a unique login.

The demos need registration because every user has their own settings, shows, performances, prices etc. just as they would on their own site. If you can do that without registering users then you’re a better developer that I am.

    dear Malcolm –

thanks for the reply -. well with all the procedures; we can say that this is really no low threshold in accessing your demo.

the way is long – …. See all the steps – and be aware that this takes a long time…

    – registering a user
( which happened two days before )
    – sending /getting a first mail with confirmation
( which happened one day before
    – sending /getting a second mail with a password —
( which never happened – in other words i did not get any mail – and i do not have any access)

to be frank – this looks really a bit poor.

so to spell it out: if a interested user has to wait half a week or one week to access a demo is a pretty long time, isnt it!?

that said ; i am really interested. And i would love to see a demo…

I’m sorry, but I’ve no idea why you are having a problem.

I just registered as a “new” demo user … entering all the fields (but only “real” entries for user and email). Clicked Register. Got the email about 20 seconds later. Clicked the link, entered password, and clicked the button. Went to the login page and logged in. All complete in about 90 seconds (less time than it took to type this).

It’s a fair point that the address details are unnecessary (although it is of interest what the general location of potential users is) but it is still pretty simple.

    hello Malcolm –

many thanks for the new mail – probably i am having problems with receiving the e-mails.
at this time i am still awaiting the mail. The second one.

The first (as mentioned above) is allready received.

well – i try to do it all again. Perhaps i have more luck with the second trial…
    i do not give up…

hoe that the second time will work….

    regards

btw: a demo-account (with default-data would be great)

hello dear all – hello dear Malcolm,
unfortunatly i have not received any more mails – so the whole process is _not_ working for me.

Note: probably i have some isssues with the reception of mails. This is possible.
But – aside of this: i t is very very sad that a demo is not aviailable on a easy way…

guess that others have these issues too!?

I had no issues registering for the demo or using it. Surely if you’re capable of managing a WordPress site then you should be able to arrange a reliable source of emails………?

I agree with rogerd202, but didn’t want to say it.

There is a steady stream of new users registering to try my demos, and I can see from the database entries that virtually all have tried out the products to at least some extent.

So I’m sorry, but as far as I am concerned that is the end of this discussion.
