We’ve been making a few changes and are trying to make sure everything is in good shape for both the EU and California. I just ran a cookie scan and am a little concerned about a mystery cookie:

    Cookie name: m

    Duration: 1 year 1 month 4 days

    Category: Others

    Description: No description available.

I feel that anything this mysterious must be bad but don’t have any idea of how to get rid of it – (or if it could be perfectly innocent?)

Everything else is either necessary or related to google analytics.

    Please advise. Thank you

    Hi @catwingz,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

It seems like the “m” cookie is set by stripe in your site.

The problem with this identification is that we are not using Stripe in association with this website. There is a plugin installed which is capable of linking with Stripe but this is not set up. Are you able to suggest how we can go about removing this?

    Hi @catwingz,

It might be set by the Stripe plugin on your site. You can find this cookie by loading the URL: https://be-joy.com/book-appointment/
We have attached a screenshot of that cookie setting on this page:

In which case, it’s not from a plugin, but from Acuity the scheduling SASS. Would my best option be to reach out to them? It should be classified as necessary but “m” with no description isn’t going to get it there! How would you suggest I handle this?

    Hi @catwingz,

If you are aware of the origin of this cookie on your site, it’s better to consult with them to know more about it.
