• Since I began wordpress I cannot add widgets, categories, even when I go to add pictures (although it does let me, just gives me the error on pics) I get “an unidentified error has occured”.
I can hardly edit my page at all.
What gives and how to fix? (in english please, I don’t speak html-eze. ??

I have the newest upgrade of wordpress as well if that helps.
I also have another wordpress page that I run for the bridal association I’m a part of and have no problems with it at all. So, I know it’s not my computer.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

I have switched to the default theme and that did not work. How do you deactivate plugins and I will try? What if it is not a plugin problem?

Ok, figured the plug ins……..that is not the problem.
    Any others?

Try re-uploading the wp-admin folder via FTP.

    Eh? I told ya. I don’t speak html-eze….how would I do that?

You will need to download a copy of WordPress to your computer and unpack it. Then use FTP (or whatever file management software your host provides) to upload the folder called wp-admin over the same folder on your site
