Unifying Payment Module Across Multisites for Multilingual Management

    Hello WordPress community,

    I am currently setting up a multilingual site using the Multi Language Switcher plugin. My site has multiple subdomains, each corresponding to a different language, for example:

    mydomain.com/fr
    mydomain.com/en
    etc.
    There will be a total of 10 different languages on my site.

    My question is about the payment module. I’m wondering if it’s possible to unify the payment module across all subdomains. In other words, I would need the Stripe account to be the same across all subdomains.

    This is crucial for me as I want all payments, regardless of the site language, to be processed through the same Stripe account.

    Has anyone had a similar experience and could offer me advice on how to set this up? Or is there perhaps a plugin that could enable me to do this?

    Will you be using the same server and WordPress database for all of your websites or will the subdomains be spread across different hosting?

    Will you be using the WordPress multisite feature? Your requirements sounds like a good fit for multisite.

    Yes, that is possible and there are merchants using our plugin with that exact setup. You would just connect each site to the same Stripe account and the plugin would behave the exact same way as if you were just using a single domain.

    Thank you so much for your prompt and insightful response. I’m thrilled to learn that it’s possible to unify the payment module across all subdomains by connecting each site to the same Stripe account. We will indeed set up this configuration.

    We will indeed be using the same server and the same WordPress database for all our sites, and all subdomains will be hosted on the same server. In addition, we are planning to use the WordPress multisite feature.
