Hey @jsrit, sounds like something went weird! I’ll try my best to figure it out.

Uninstalling YARPP should be the same as any other plugin, although there is a deactivation survey (which you can skip). Here’s how a video showing me uninstalling it.

So here’s a few questions that will help diagnose the issue:

    * On the WordPress dashboard plugins page, is YARPP still listed as active?
    * If it’s not active, maybe you’re using a caching plugin that is still showing the old content.
    * If it is still active, then you may not have skipped the deactivation survey, or there was an error when you did. If that’s the case, what do you see happen when you click to deactivate YARPP? Do you see the pop-up window at all?

If you just want a quick way out, using FTP (eg from cPanel) to delete the folder ‘yet-another-related-posts-plugin’ from your website’s wp-content/plugins folder is the quickest way to totally remove it. (Although it would be helpful to figure out what went wrong in order to prevent this in the future.)

Oh I just realized you can also use WordPress’ bulk plugin deactivation (eg https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EXt9XNF_M8AcKMYVmkjFP4_gqtqjmlLR/view?usp=drivesdk) to deactivate YARPP, if the usual way didn’t work for you, and you’d rather not debug this issue with me (which is fine, you didn’t sign up for it; you’ve already helped by just reporting the problem.)

I had to set the similarity threshold to 0 to have related articles displayed.
May be you should have done that too @jsrit

I regret this plugin doesn’t allow the change the header level for the title “Related Posts” : h4 seems to be the hard coded level.
Also, the related post titles are cut (2 lines) and the thumbnails ratio are wrong… (see https://yogaazur.fr/impacts-pratique-respiratoire/ ) … I don’t know if I’ll keep using this plugin for these reasons.

@jsrit if you have any caching plugins, have you made sure you’ve cleared them? This is typically the number #1 cause.

Thanks @jsrit for chiming in. For now, you need to use a custom template to change the header level for that title. The stretched thumbnails should be fixed by regenerating thumbnails, there’s actually a FAQ for that problem but we are looking into a better fix. And the related posts titles being cut is a significant problem we’re working on.
If you’d like to continue discussing those issues, please make a separate support issue,so this issue doesn’t get too cluttered. Merci, bonne chance!
