Uninstall Error

    Thought I had latest PHP update but didn’t. Didn’t realize this till after I installed plugin. Went to uninstall by clicking “yes, delete these files and data” I get this error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/spin/public_html/mebafirst.com/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/uninstall.php on line 15

    And of course it was never installed as my host PHP isn’t updated.
    Anybody tell me how to uninstall this?

    Hi there –

    In this case, you need to go into either the FTP or files manager on your cPanel and go under the wp-content/plugins/ directory, then delete the “backupwordpress” directory completely.

    From there, you can then reinstall the newest version and you should be in okay shape.

    I’m sorry you ran into this one, but they will have this corrected soon in an upcoming release.
