I had an event that was showing some text that wasn’t typed in when it was created. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Events Manager but the original events showed up. I deleted them, created a brand new event and still this unwanted text appears. There is no folder in the plugins folder after I uninstall it. Where is the reinstall getting this from and how can I find and remove that unwanted text? Thanks in advance!

  • What is this unwanted text?

When you uninstall the plugin the settings stay in the database along with all the registration information (and events if you haven’t removed them from trash). This means if it all goes pear shaped you can recover.

If you want to remove all traces of the plugin after deletion use the Clean Options plugin:

It’s old and out of date but it’s the one of the best. Delete the QEM then run clean option and remove anything with the qem_ prefix.

I feel silly for posting …once I found out that it was in the Settings for my registration form. I didn’t realize the registration form would be putting it’s name there. And I kept assuming it was going to be in the event settings.

Thank you for your response! Sorry to waste your time.
