After uninstalling the CM Tooltip Glossary I found the MySql database still contained the data entered via the plugin.

    1) How can this data be cleaned from the database?
    2) Shouldn’t the plugin automatically clean up after itself.

In my opinion automatic clean up of the database should definitely happen as most users do not wish to be messig with their MySql database.

I understand that you want to make a point and made a review at the same time you posted a question. Well this is by itself is bad habit and not sure what you intentions are.

As for your question, most users find it problematic that once you deactivate your plugin all data is being lost. There are several solutions for this and the most common is to leave the data untack and instead to add a separate function to clear the database

In the case of the CM Tooltip, this is on our roadmap but we didn’t yet got to this as there are other features we are working on. I believe we will release it in the near future.

I disagree with you about the fact that other “Good” plugins behave differently. I think Cm Tooltip Glossary is a good and well written plugin, and also maintained. Most plugins I am aware of don’t remove the database and some of them supply this functionality or clearing the database separately
