    Hi,
I’m using wordfence for long time and I ‘m used to it as a security solution for wp websites. but on one of my websites it uninstalled itself when I was trying to reinstall and activate it, got this message

Warning: require_once(wfConfig.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/greenrug/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfUtils.php on line 2
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘wfConfig.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home3/greenrug/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfUtils.php on line 2

I’d be appreciate if help me to know whats the problem and how to solve it.
    Thank you

  • Hi Bob,
That’s very odd, we rarely see such a behavior. It could be that your server is running out of space or a temporary performance issue on the server.

Please zip up the current Wordfence folder and email it to “alaa [at] wordfence [dot] com” for further investigation, but for now you can delete the plugin folder at (/wp-content/plugins/) and re-install the plugin again from WordPress plugins repository. Finally, may I know which hosting provider are you using?

    Thanks.
