I created a nice website using Blue Planet. I had everything very nice. Before I migrated the website to go live, I upgraded the blue planet theme. Now on my static front page there is a small square and a lot of blank space under the horizontal menu and before my page text. If I click on the small box (.5″X.5″)a large photo pops up. If I change my static front page to another of my pages the same thing happens for that page. The photo icon is not on any of my pages, but If I make one the static front page it appears. Is there something in the upgrade that did something with the settings for making a page a static front page?

After hours of trying to get that photo off of the static front page. I managed to figure it out. There was a check mark in the part of the customize section allowing the slider on the static front page. Once I took that out, and saved – all looks good and I can let the stress go.
