Unique ID for buttons

You can use some hidden field for this.

Alternative one using hidden field refer:

It will give the URL that the user used the CTA button.

Second Alternative using query parameter

Edit your custom post type and use a query parameter for example /form-page/?button_id=CTA_ID_3

It will allow you to control which CTA button the user used.

The screenshots provided by earlier staff is for using Forminator hidden field option. The screenshot you are providing shows an interface that is from a different plugin. Please make sure you are editing your Form in Forminator interface in order to use the hidden field feature from it.

But I don’t what I need to do on my button on my Elementor page. Please can you provide screenshot of what I need to do in a button on Elementor.

Hi @plugquest,

So you would need to make sure each button has a custom query parameter such as the one shown in the example:

/form-page/?button_id=CTA_ID_3

So change the “CTA_ID_3” to different values for each button so that when the user clicks on the button, it adds this parameter in request and this value then gets populated into the field so that each submission will have this ID from the button they clicked on.

Hi @plugquest,

You would add it in the link option from the button settings(second screenshot). So where it says “Link”. Add your link and attach to it the custom query parameter. An example such as:

https://mylink.com/form-page/?button_id=CTA_ID_3
