unique page as about-us

  • Hello, I’m doing my first wordpress template. I would like to get your opinion on the page templates that will only be used once (example: about-us). Instead, you recommend using

    page-{slug}.php
    as a template page (in the page-templates subfolder)
    a new post type

    I’d do it as a template, “page-about-us.php”. A new post type is way overkill.
