Unit Error >> Amazon Auto Links: No products found.
-
The majority of my units now have a Status of “Unit Error” with an explanation of “Amazon Auto Links: No products found.” Occasionally, most often not, renewing the cache helps. How can I fix this?
-
Hi,
Which unit type are they?
Can you go to Dashboard -> Amazon Auto Links -> Tools -> Error Log and post recent log entries?
Also, you want to check if you have product filter options enabled by going to Dashboard -> Amazon Auto Links -> Settings -> General -> Global Product Filters. If you set something there, remove them and set the Prevent Duplicates option to Off and see if it makes any difference.

Thanks for the help.
Sorry for the late reply. I did not receive a notification Email from www.ads-software.com.
Your log indicates that plugin HTTP requests are blocked by Captcha. It’s been getting more common to see this Captcha problem. You say you are using URL units. Then a workaround would be to use an online web proxy. Also using an online HTML validator like this can help. In the linked page, check the
Show Source
option and enter the URL of the store page having products you like to show on your site. In the result page, validation errors will be shown along with the HTML source code. Then copy the URL of the validation result page and paste it to the URL unit option. This is all what I can suggest at the moment.
I’m thinking of adding a proxy option for HTTP requests. But I cannot guarantee when it comes. If you desperately need it, shoot me an Email via the contact form. Then we can talk.
Thanks for taking a look. I’m open to the idea of using a web proxy. Can you recommend one? I assume a plugin.
After using the validator, it’s unclear where I find the “URL of the validation result page.” For example, https://validator.w3.org/nu/?showsource=yes&doc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FBest-Sellers-Health-Personal-Care-Turmeric-Herbal-Supplements%2Fzgbs%2Fhpc%2F3767191%2F
Thanks.
Here is one. It is a Heroku app and you can set up your own if you have a Heroku account. For more details, see here.

Use the one you just posted:
https://validator.w3.org/nu/?showsource=yes&doc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FBest-Sellers-Health-Personal-Care-Turmeric-Herbal-Supplements%2Fzgbs%2Fhpc%2F3767191%2F
I understand the proxy technique you are suggesting now. It seems to be working in most cases. Thanks!
Great, glad it helped!
Unfortunately the proxy technique was only temporary for most units. They end up being Captcha Blocked or TooMany Requests throttled denied. Is there a reliable way to create units (even individually) that will maintain their active status?
Another workaround would be to set a longer cache duration.
I’ll think about adding a proxy rotation option for a future release to avoid the Captcha problem. If you need it really soon, send me an email from the contact form.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
