When I go to add a new quiz, I briefly get this error:

Unknown column 'show_answers' in 'field list'

It also outputs the SQL, then redirects immediately.

It was doing this prior to my upgrading WP and the plugin. That’s actually why I upgraded to get it fixed. But I’m now running the latest version of both, and it’s still occurring.

    Please reactivate it.

    1. That worked perfectly!

    2. That’s absolutely the quickest reply I’ve ever received on any plugin ever, premium or free. Thanks for the fantastic support!

Most welcome. Maybe you can rate us ??
I’ve missed the fact that after upgrade WordPress doesn’t reactivate automatically the plugins that are active. We’ll take care about this in the next release so problems like this won’t happen again.

I’m having the same issue as Tim since updating the plugin. However, I am afraid to deactivate and then reactivate as the check box for deleting the already stored data doesn’t seem to want to uncheck. I’ve unchecked it and tried to save but it keeps rechecking itself to “delete stored data when deactivating the plugin.” I don’t want to lose the 10 quizzes I already have. Please advise. Thanks.

You will not lose anything when deactivating. The warning is about uninstalling.

Ok…well…I just deactivated. And then reactivated. And ALL of my tests are gone! Please help.

And here’s what the warning says… “Delete stored Watu data when deactivating the plugin.” That’s why I hesitated to do it. Is there some way now to retrieve my tests? They took hours and hours to make. Thanks.

OK sorry, mistake in the text. To be safe export your data from phpMyAdmin before deactivating.

Well……I didn’t do that. So now what? Everything is just gone??

What do you mean? Deactivate and activate it, nothing will be gone.

I deactivated it. I reactivated it. Everything IS gone. Here is what it says: “No test found.”

Watu for WordPress is a light version of WatuPRO.
Go to Watu Settings | Create New Exam

To publish a quiz copy its shortcode and place it in a post or page. Use only one quiz shortcode in each post or page.
    ID
Title Shortcode Number Of Questions Taken Action
    No Test found.

    Create New Exam

What I mean is that I didn’t save it first, based on your response here:
“You will not lose anything when deactivating. The warning is about uninstalling.” Now everything is gone after deactivating and then reactivating. My tests have disappeared.

Contact your hosting support to restore a DB backup. There is nothing I can do for you from here.

Sorry, I now realized it was my mistake. But it’s late for me to help you so contact your hosting support. They keep DB backups.

I have contacted my server. They tried to restore it – the plugin – but the exams are still gone. They asked that I ask you if when installing the plugin if it makes a separate database on our server? We can’t seem to find it. We restored the plugin itself, but this did not work even though we went far enough back to when the exams were still there.
