    Hello!

    From yandex webmaster i’ve received:

    “Unknown html tag
The specified tag must not occur in this context.”
    “Examples:
    …/wp-sitemap-posts-post-1.xml
    …/wp-sitemap-taxonomies-category-1.xml”

but in the sitemap.xml there is no such tag.

How can i fix this issue?

    Howdy!

What you see might be an issue with your theme or another plugin, causing XML not to parse the WordPress sitemaps correctly. Do you have a URL of your site to inspect?

    Thanks for the link!

Since you enabled TSF’s optimized sitemap, those other sitemaps no longer exist and point to a 404 error page in HTML. Since XML isn’t HTML (though HTML is XML), you’ll get an error.

If you wish to continue using TSF’s optimized sitemaps, please delete the old sitemap locations from Yandex Webmasters.

Otherwise, you could opt to switch back to WordPress’s default sitemaps. To do so, in the admin area, go to “SEO > Sitemap Settings > General > Sitemap Output” and uncheck “Output optimized sitemap?”. Save the settings, and wait a couple of days for Yandex to reprocess the old sitemap locations again.
