• How do I know if my site is part of a network? I fired my developer and deleted his “user” account, but now have 5 more users I don’t know! I had changed my password.

He put his own WP install on the site and controls my adwords account. My sales went to 0 after I confronted him on his receiving BCC of my contact form.

I’m freaking out, don’t know WP and want it gone.

    Help!

First, make sure “Anyone can register” isn’t checked at Settings -> General in your blog’s Dashboard.

If it is checked, uncheck it and delete the users you don’t recognize.

If it isn’t checked, remain calm and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

Thank you! Anyone can register was indeed checked. Thank you! Panic done.

I don’t know where they go to register..?

There’s a link on the login form, but more than likely it was just bots hitting where the form would normally be. Registration spam is like comment spam is like email spam.
