• Please I have noticed within the last 2 days that my domain goes into mobile view on various browsers after sometime (on Computer & on mobile even refuses to load up Full site).
In addition, when this happens, I notice that when I purge all cache (w3tc – I have no other caching plugin installed), it becomes normal for about 3 hours before returning again to mobile view – unless again I purge cache.
Please I would appreciate support on this.
    Thanks.

You have two separate designs for mobile and desktop visitors and no responsive design, correct?

No – not correct. I have a responsive design.

The issue is not with mobile responsiveness but rather mobile view coming up on PC and on mobile, full-site refusing to come up unless I purge all cache on w3tc before all is normal again.

Just to be clear: you have only one design and not two? Because if you have a responsive design, there shouldn’t be a problem with mobile/desktop.

    Thread Starter tojuogbe

    (@tojuogbe)

Yes I have just one design and it is a response design. Like I said, the issue is not with the responsiveness of the design but why I need to purge all cache every 3 hours to avoid my website showing with a mobile view on PC. Thanks for your follow up.

If you activate your cache, visit your site on desktop (private window) and then visit the site with your mobile phone, do you get the desktop view?

    Thread Starter tojuogbe

    (@tojuogbe)

No I do not get the desktop view.

Did you made the theme by yourself? Does this effect occur when you use the wordpress default theme?

    Thread Starter tojuogbe

    (@tojuogbe)

I use the WordPress default theme Twenty Fifteen. But then, I have been using this theme for the past 2 years and the W3TC plugin for about a month now and just started noticing these issues 2 days ago.

When you disable your CDN in W3 Total Cache, does the effect still occur?

    Thread Starter tojuogbe

    (@tojuogbe)

I have not tried this. I will and let you know. Thanks

Hi Ben, to your question “When you disable your CDN in W3 Total Cache, does the effect still occur?” – Yes it still occurs (although I realised a tremendous increase on the site performance – speed and other relevant optimizations).

    (@benbornschein)

I’m running out of ideas ?? I don’t understand why your system caches a mobile view, when this is related to CSS and it shouldn’t affect the cache.

Do you have any other plugins installed that can be disabled for testing?
What happens if you deactivate minification in W3 Total Cache? Does this still occurs?

    (@tojuogbe)

Thanks a lot Ben. Well, I have not tried deactivating minification in W3 Total Cache since deactivating the CDN feature. The minification was deactivated when the CDN was enabled to avoid site breaks. However, I could give it a try but this could give my site performance a setback. Thanks again.

Hi Ben, I am pleased to share that I have not experienced the issue after clearing my DNS cache. Thanks a lot for your support. Best regards.

Unfortunately, the issue has resurfaced after I activating and using the plugin: Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions. I have tried purging cache (via W3TC) and clearing the DNS cache but still, I get the mobile view on PC after about 2 hours (after the purge). I will appreciate insights into how to get this resolved. I have already deactivated the Optimize plugin. Thanks.
