unminified JavaScript warning

  • Hi I have used this great plugin to install GTM and it all worked fine, but now it is causing me issues in my SEO audit

    I have got SEO Warnings across my site for “unminified JavaScript and CSS” and the plugin is listed as the cause

    Is there a way to fix this without deleting the plugin?

    Hi,

    There are some inline JS codes by design to be able to populate the so called data layer with lots of usefull data. Some cache plugins also move those inline codes into a separate .js file.

    Some improvement have been also added in the dev version of the plugin to have WooCommerce related JS codes in JS files instead of inline codes but I do not think that the very basic core codes will be moved into .js files.

    Could you elaborate more on this topic? What specific SEO disadvantages will you see if some inline JS codes are present in your page?
