• So, the ONLY reason I foolishly activated this plugin was to attempt to customize a Google form to match My site. I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTICES the plugin author provided and reverted My form back to the old Google Form format to accommodate this plugin.

The new Google Forms allows you to do quite a bit of customization so this plugin is not necessary for simple desires such as resizing the form for embedding into your webpage and customizing colors — which the new Google Forms provides easy ways to do.

I’m MOST annoyed that something in this plugin’s installation has now disrupted My PREVIEW function and is wasting My time to fix.

I searched through the support forums to see if anyone else encountered this aggravation and a fix was provided. No such luck.

By the time someone will get back to Me about this disruption, I will have fixed it Myself.

SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT AND WASTE OF MY TIME.

For anyone else who may encounter a similar problem, this plugin created an error:

    “File does not exist: /home/xxx/xxx/index.php”

causing an HTTP 500 error that was NOT easily fixed by the simple permalinks and .htaccess resets that solved similar, plugin-crash problems.

    Good luck.

This is such a WONDERFUL and useful plugin. I use it all the time. It works so well and I am so GRATEFUL to the developer of this plugin. One just has to know how to use the plugin, that`s all.
It is so unfair when you publish such comments.

@mssdidi – I’m sorry your experience didn’t go well but I would very surprised if my Google Forms plugin was responsible for the error you experienced. There may have been an interaction between the plugin and your theme or another plugin which caused it or it simply wasn’t set up correctly, it is hard to know for sure without seeing more details on the problem.

As for your assertion that the plugin is unnecessary, I disagree. While Google has improved the ability to style a Google From during the creation process it isn’t the same as using the native styling of your WordPress site which is virtually impossible to do embedding the form or using an iframe. More importantly, to me and the thousands of people who have used this plugin, the form submission process stays within the WordPress site versus taking you to Google Drive allowing fpr thank you or confirmation pages which are part of your web site.

Just because something didn’t work perfectly for you doesn’t mean it isn’t a good solution for other people.

    Exaclty , Mike!

Again: I am so GRATEFUL to you for your plugin.

I stick by My experience, My opinion, and the plugins that actually do work for Me.

Plugins can often conflict with other plugins, glitches can occur, etc. etc., and this is not a perfect world.

Good for anyone who has an opportunity to have gratitude for this plugin and the efforts that have gone into creating it. Gratitude is important and definitely should be given to what is worthy.

I really do hope that more people are thrilled with your plugin and not annoyed with time wasted as I was and a few others who give it 1 star. I do know that someone who understands MY experience will think twice before taking a chance on using this.

    All the best.

Had the other people who gave this plugin 1 star been more thorough with their experiences, I would have had an opportunity to think twice based on knowing MY website and its history before having the experience that I did have.

Being more responsible than the others, I stick by My experience, My opinion, and the plugins that actually do work for Me.

    Success for your future.
