Unnecessary internal linking issue

Hello there,

Was a kind of curious how to get rid of unnecessary internal links. I have not created many of these links. However, they are all over the website.

In principle, I know that strong internal linking practice is good for the website. However, the problem is that these links are showing up without any context. For example, if there is a preposition About, it would automatically be linked to our about us page. That is wiered

Any suggestions on how to solve that issue?
