When moderating comments, clicking Trash on a comment that is in Pending status, results in cache purge.

Obviously, nothing changes on the page when deleting a pending comment.

So we should not purge on trashing unapproved comments.

You’re right, but there’s no easy way to separate it within WP.

When you trash a pending comment, it triggers edit post, which is what triggers this plugin. Also some plugins have a flag for pending comments on the front end, so making it tighter so this doesn’t happen would result in breaking other sites. It’s better for the extra cache than a non-cache at this point.

On a related note (to save from opening another thread):

Is it possible to have the plugin immediately visit purged URLs?

Or have a sort of function to add the purged URLs to transient storage to be picked up later by a cron job for warming up the cache nearly immediately after purging?
