Unnecessary slug in URL

Hi, every time I set the URL for the English version of my website, it adds a slug identical to the website name, for example:
- https://domain.com – main version of the website
- https://domain/en/home/ – versions where servant is “home”
to make the URL available for the English version simply https://smartdesign-expo.com/en/
Option to leave empty slugs, empty version of the page, I changed the permalinks settings in the WordPress settings, but it didn’t help.
How can I remove unnecessary slug? Thank you in advance for your help.
