Unofficial Stripe plugin safety

  • Hi everyone,

    I am setting up an ecommerce website, and I am trying to integrate STRIPE for receiving payments through credit cards. It seems not that difficult from a technical point of view.

    Instead of using this official Stripe plugin https://www.woothemes.com/products/stripe/ that I should buy for 79$ on WooCommerce Extension website I have found this free plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/stripe-for-woocommerce that, apparently, does the same work. The question is:

    since I need to set Stripe’s APIs on WooCommerce plugin page and since money will be involved, how safe is installing an “unofficial” Stripe plugin instead of the official one?
