Within the WordPress dashboard > WooCommerce > Orders I’m seeing a few random “Pending Payment” and “Cancelled” statuses on the orders. Hover on these shows “unpaid order cancelled – time limit reached”. Anybody have any idea why this is happening? Using WooCommerce Square 2.2.5

  • Hi there @kirbmart,

    Thanks for reaching out!

An order is usually created in Pending payment status when it was abandoned during checkout.

To confirm that that’s the case, please enabled Square payment logging in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Square. When it happens again, please check square_credit_card logs in WooCommerce > Status > Logs > choose square_credit_card for the day when it happened from the drop-down.

Abandoned orders shouldn’t show up there at all, while if something went wrong, you’ll see some records there.

Found a fix for this here:

Essentially you increase the “Hold Stock (minutes)” to a “60” minute interval.
