I’m using 1.5.1, and I’m suddenly seeing more failed orders.

Just got a message: ” I’ve been trying for the last 10 minutes to go through PayPal but nothings working and I don’t know why ? It just keeps saying that something went wrong .”

    Log shows this:

2021-09-28T13:42:20+00:00 WARNING Failed to create order. PayPal API response: [UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY] The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation. https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/orders/v2/#error-CANNOT_BE_ZERO_OR_NEGATIVE

I tried to revert to an older version of the plugin, but that breaks my site.

Don’t know what to do here.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @essmeier

Thank you for reaching out to us. The error you are showing us we have only encountered when a merchant is selling subscriptions with the first month free. Currently, PayPal does not allow zero-fee purchases (we are working on this one).

However, looking at your site, it does not seem to apply to your site; you seem to only sell physical products, correct?
Can you try to disconnect and connect your PayPal account in the plugin’s settings? Verify that all 4 fields have been populated after you do this (Email address, Merchant Id, Client Id and Secret Key).

If that doesn’t fix the issue, we would like to review your logs and the system report; if you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well)

    Kind regards,
    Joost

I do sell only physical products. The error message above came when a customer added a single item to their cart and attempted to pay for it.

I have disconnected and reconnected and did a test order. Everything seems to work properly.

At the moment, it seems to be working.

    Hello @essmeier

Good to hear you got it resolved, hopefully the issue will not return. If you do run into any more similar issues, please open a ticket as described. In that case we would need to get the system report & any logs available (turn on logging in the plugin settings).

    Kind regards,
    Joost
