Unprotected Download folder

It depends on your hosting environment. By default with Apache EDD is able to generate the .htaccess file that prevents direct access to the files but in other cases you need custom security rules.

Take a look at our article here https://docs.easydigitaldownloads.com/article/194-are-download-files-protected and reach out to your hosting provider as they should be able to assist with setting it up.
