Unprotecting excerpts

Could you please try another solution to display actual posts’ excerpts following our documentation and see if it works?

Yeah, I already tested the first snippet in there titled “Replace?the default WordPress excerpt by the actual post excerpt” but what I got is the excerpt on top of the post and this is not really what I need.

In fact, I don’t really understand what that sentence really means: “Replace?the default WordPress excerpt by the actual post excerpt” but obviously not what I need.

I’m using the GeneratePress theme if that helps and just need to have the excerpts displaying in post Archive pages as usual, nothing special other than that.

Please let me know if you recommend something related to this, otherwise I’ll play around a bit more and test the other snippets and get back to you by email if not successful. Thanks!

This site is still in development and I don’t really know yet which sections will need protection and how.

Marking this a resolved for now and I’ll certainly will get to you when needed with precise examples.

Hello, I did follow-up by email about this question at that time and got a reply that you were testing but I don’t have any updates since some time and nobody replies to my messages anymore.
